National Equivalence Board(NEB) exam

National Equivalence Board(NEB) exam a good news for Foreign medical students , those who want to migrate from their respective medical colleges to Pakistani Medical colleges to complete their remaining degree either they are in 3rd year or 4th year of MBBS OR BDS .

There is an Exam for this purpose held by Pakistan Medical and dental council (PM&DC), called NEB (National Equivalence Board ). This Exam is for those students who are studying Abroad in Medical Field and want to purse their remaining years in Pakistani Medical Colleges.

The National Medical and Dental Academic Board has refined standards and structures of the NEB exam.

How to Apply:

Students can register for the NEB ( National Equivalence Board) Exam through the official online portal of the Pakistan medical and dental council (PM&DC). The link is given Below.

NEB Online Registration Portal

The registration process involves:

Filling out the Application form through Online Official PM&DC Online Portal.
Upload and submit scanned copies of essential documents i.e identification proof and educatiol certificates.
Complete the Payment process as per the requirement of the PMDC .
Upon successful verification the student will receive the confirmative Email with the further exam related Details.

Eligibility Criteria:

65% or above marks are mandatory in FSc ( Pre-Medical ) Or HSSC.
Qualifying the essential NEB assessment for the second year transfer from a Respective foreign medical university or College.

Some Important Information:

NEB exam Held twice a year
The exam has unlimited number of attempts.
This exam is valid for two years to get admission in Pakistani Medical colleges after passing.

Passing Criteria and Exam Format:

For the Transfer in 3rd and 4th Year: The students have to appear in the theory component of the exam only to get migrate in 3rd or 4th year of MBBS Or BDS in Pakistani Medical colleges.

For transfer in MBBS Year 5: 70% or more in theory component and clinical skills of the NEB exam.

Passing Criteria: 70% or Above for National Equivalence Board(NEB) exam

Note: “Successfully clearing the NEB Examination does not guarantee admission to a Pakistani medical college, as it will depend on the availability of seats in the admitting medical college and its admissions policy.”
